JotSpot FAQ

How do I save my notes?

Click the save button and follow the on screen instructions.

Is there a way to get my notes back if I closed out the window?

ONLY if you closed the window and did not quit the app you will be able to get your notes back. You can do this by going to the pen icon in your menu bar and clicking “Show Window” or going to the menu bar and clicking File > New.

How do I share my notes?

Highlight all of your text (or the part you want to share) and right click. Hover over “Share” and select the method you want to share by.

How do I show the dock icon?

In the file you downloaded to hide the icon there was another file to show the icon. There is instructions on how to do that there.

What is the area that says “Name Document”?

In there is where you enter the name of your document. Doing that will change the title of the window. If you don’t want to have a name for the document you can just leave it blank.

When I enter the name of the document nothing happens.

Once you enter the name of the document you will need to click the “Name Document” button to the right of the text field. That will change the name of the document.

Why doesn't the name of the window change in Dark Mode?

Because of the way that we set up the window we are unable to offer you to change the window's title. However, when you click the Name Document button the name will still stay at the top and you can refer to that as your document name.
