TriGauge FAQ

My computer says the browser can't open the page

Our widgets are for the Mac only. If you are trying to open the page on a Windows computer, it won’t work because .wdgt is not a supported file type on Windows. If you are on a Mac that has a dashboard on it (OS X 10.4 or later) and are still having this problem we recommend that you update your browser to the latest version. If you have any further problems you may want to contact your browser company or the widget file host (Dropbox).

After the download is done it says that it can't open because it's from an unidentified developer

This happens for every widget that is downloaded on a Mac. What you need to do is go to the downloads section in Finder. Next, right click on the widget and select open. It will bring up a page that says it’s from an unidentified developer. Click on open button and then the install button. That’s it! We also have a video on this that you can watch below.

What do the different gauge colors mean?

When you look at the TriGauge widget you will see the colors cycle through four different ones. This is what all four of them mean:

Gray: There is no activity at all.

Green: There is activity, which is not over loading you computer.

Yellow: There is medium activity indicating that you might want to slightly slow down.

Red: There is a lot of activity and you many want to put your computer to sleep you quit an application.

TriGauge is Showing Numbers that I know are not Accurate

If you're doing something that is either hard on your network, processor, or hard drive, TriGauge may show those stats the next time you go to Dashboard. Just let TriGauge run for about 5 more seconds while you're on the Dashboard. It will then re-read everything and show what's happening at that moment.
